FAQ
Anyone can make an enquiry regarding the provision of home care service for you, e.g. your GP, District Nurse, family member, neighbour, friend and so on. Once we receive an enquiry, an appointment will be made to visit you and determine whether we can provide the home care service for you. A personal care plan will be developed and agreed with you, and you will be contacted with confirmation as to when you will receive commencement of service. Go to the bottom of this page for a step-by-step guide.
We provide care across the Borough of Havering. Click here for more details.
You can request a service review if you have any concerns or require a re-assessment of your needs whenever you feel your circumstances have changed. There is also an opportunity to have a formal review at least twice a year.
The tasks that your home carer will carry out for you will depend on the outcome of our assessment and on your needs and wishes. Our home carers are trained to carry out a variety of services, including personal care, cleaning, laundry, waking nights, help with medication and escorted appointments. See more about the services we provide here.
We work hard to ensure we match you with the carers that are best suited to your needs. We aim to be consistent in providing the same home carer to you, however sometimes this isn’t possible (if your carer is on holiday – for example).
Home care services can either be paid privately by yourself or you may be entitled to funding support. For more information click here.
Our offices are normally open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Aside from this, we operate an out-of-hours emergency service which is available from 5pm to 9am plus all weekend.
How quickly we are able to begin your care depends on a number of factors. If necessary, we can usually commence care within two-three weeks from the date of your initial enquiry.
We recruit staff who are honest, trustworthy, competent and who comply with company policies and legal requirements. All of our carers undergo a fully comprehensive Induction training scheme and Dementia Awareness course. Many carers also pursue the additional training on offer to them.
