Home Carer Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and conversation.
- Assisting a client in getting up, getting dressed and getting ready for the day.
- Helping clients with washing, bathing and oral care.
- Accompanying clients to appointments.
- Recording and reporting.
- Toileting including assistance using a commode.
- Shopping for weekly essentials.
- Assisting with prescribed medication.
- Assistance with eating and drinking.
- Using moving and handling equipment for less able clients.
